Klinik Jubilee

DONATE

Klinik Jubilee was formally established in 2011 to provide primary care services to the community of Jubilee Blanc. While still dedicated to serving the needs of Jubilee, as the Klinik's services have increased, so has its patient base. The Klinik sees approximately 5500 patients per year from not only Jubilee but the greater Gonaives and outlying areas

The clinic is under the direction of administrator Abigail Rucker, and medical director Oscar Dieuson.

Klinik Jubilee is focused on primary care, preventative care, and health promotion. The Klinik desires to improve the quality and ease of access to healthcare for the Haitian people and advocate for the health of children, the voiceless, and the marginalized. It also strives to give their clients more understanding, control, and responsibility of their own health.

Annie.png

Miss Annie

"I love working at Klinik Jubilee because there is an atmosphere of collaboration. In other places, people are afraid of losing their jobs, and they try to defend themselves and outperform everyone else... but here, we are truly one." - Miss Annie, Lab Assistant

Part of Klinik Since: October 2014
From: O'Poteau (a farming community just outside of Gonaives)
Loves to: Study English

Miss Annie was a part of Klinik's early CNA training courses, and then worked as a CNA before becoming the Lab Assistant when it opened in 2017. Her gentleness and kind smile put both children and adults at ease as she draws blood, pricks fingers, and helps us determine the various health issues our patients are facing. She is always eager to learn and would like to someday go to school to become a certified Lab Technician.

Miss Sabine

“Jubilee is a place that doesn't have value. I want it to be a reference for the city. I want everyone- rich people, people from all over Gonaives- to come to our clinic because it is the best. I can't do much, but I realized that if I take the little I have and put it with what others are doing here in clinic, I can help. ” –Miss Sabine, Nurse

Part of Klinik Since: September 2015
From: Gonaives (family is from Jubilee)
Loves to: Take care of her family- cleaning, cooking, and going on outings with them.

Miss Sabine is our Nurse, and since nurses in Haiti are more like Nurse Practitioners, she does it all! She oversees our Prenatal and Well Baby programs, as well as seeing many other patients throughout the week. She is a natural teacher, and educates patients during their consults, as well as having classes on the weekend for local midwives and for teens who are pregnant. Miss Sabine's heart is so big, and we are thankful for her!

patients and helping them with their health.” Magalie, CNA
Part of Klinik since: May 2015

Magalie is also part of our CNA intake team- like Magdala, she takes vitals and finds out what
symptoms our patients have. Along with emergency help, Magalie sees all of our Jubilee School
kids. She provides health education during the school year, and works with parents to make
sure our kids are well cared for. Her tender heart makes her a trustworthy confidant for our
students, and they are quick to come to her with problems and concerns. Go Magalie!

Loves to: Read and lead Bible Study at his church

Valentin is our extra CNA help! He comes in every Wednesday to help with our blood pressure program. He helps us get through one of our busiest days in clinic, and is always kind and approachable with patients.

“I love working at clinic because I feel comfortable here. I don’t want to work somewhere I don’t feel at ease, but here I feel comfortable.” Virginia, Cleaning

Part of Klinik since: 2017

From: Jubilee

Loves to: Spend time with her daughter

Virginia helps keep our facilities clean and ready for patients. She works with Leila to protect patients and staff by helping us maintain a sanitary environment- such an important job! We are thankful for her hard work- though it is not seen by many, we could not do what we do without Virginia!

Magdala

“I love to help people. I’m always ready to help, especially for kids and people who don’t have family.” Magdala, CNA

Part of Klinik since: January 2017
From: Jubilee
Loves to: Sleep

Magdala is part of our CNA intake team- she takes vitals and finds out what symptoms our patients have, giving our nurse a head start on care. She also helps with any emergency cases we may have. She is an all star at sutures! Magdala is full of passion and sass, and this makes her a great patient advocate. Her heart is particularly tender toward people with disabilities and those who don’t have good care at home. We love Magdala!

so with a smile. He helps our clinic function more smoothly, and we are thankful for him!

Part of Klinik since: 2012
From: Jubilee
Loves to: Spend time with her children

Leila helps keep our facilities clean and ready for patients. She is in early every morning, getting the waiting room and exam rooms ready, and making sure we are in great shape to see patients. She is a hard worker and uses her income to support her four children, as well as many other members of her family. She is a difference maker in this community!

Part of Klinik Since: May 2018
From: Gonaives
Loves to: Spend time with her nephew, attend classes for her economics degree

Chrismane is the newest member of our team! She is the first face patients see when they arrive at clinic, and she does a great job welcoming them and connecting them with the services they need. In the afternoons she attends university classes for a degree in economics, and her knowledge and technology skills are helpful as she manages the front office. We are glad she's on our team!
