Tony McNorton: Chair

Tony made is first trip to Haiti in June 2008 with his family.  The physical and spiritual poverty he saw was heartbreaking and that is when Jubilee Kids was born in his heart. Tony’s question has always been “Why not”?. Why not change the world through a little poverty-stricken community in Haiti?  So the journey began by introducing others to what was going on in that little community. Tony has made many trips to Jubilee over the years and continues to lead others to experience the transformation that is taking place in Jubilee. Tony leads Jubilee Kids as the Chair of the Board of Directors and acting treasurer. In addition, he and his wife sponsor a child through Jubilee Kids. Tony and Sondra have 3 children, Chase, Apps and Callie.

In Memoriam:

Charlie Maxwell: Honorary Lifetime Board Member

Charlie felt the call to Haiti when Emory and Mary Wilson spoke at First Baptist Church Brunswick a number of years ago. When Tony McNorton reported on the 2008 flood after he returned from Haiti, Charlie knew he had to go and help the people of Jubilee. He made three trips to Haiti, and the children of Jubilee entered his heart to stay. He previously served as Vice Chair of Jubilee Kids, and when he stepped down as an active board member, the Board of Directors voted to make him a honorary lifetime board member. Charlie went home to be with the Lord in 2019, but we will always remember him for his love for the children of Jubilee.
